October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and many local businesses are participating by offering special, pink and white themed products to help raise funds to support research into finding a cure.
Here are a few of the neighborhood businesses where you can help make a difference in the fight against breast cancer this month:
Aveda (Grand Central Terminal, Lexington Passage – 212-682-5397) will donate a portion of the proceeds from each sale of their special edition Pink Ribbon Hand Relief TM Lotion to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation®.
Bobbi Brown (Grand Central Terminal, Lexington Passage) will donate $10 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation® for each Pink Peony Set sold this month.
Leather Spa (Grand Central Terminal, Lower Level Dining Concourse – 212-661-0307) will donate $2 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation® for each pair of pink waxed shoelaces purchased in October.
Magnolia Bakery (Grand Central Terminal, Lower Level Dining Concourse – 212-682-3588) will be donating $1 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation® for each Pink Ribbon Cupcake purchased during the month of October.
Rite Aid (Grand Central Terminal, Shuttle Passage – 212-972-8269) will donate $1 per item to the Women’s Cancer Research Fund from the purchase of select Revlon® products.
Zaro’s Bakery (Grand Central Terminal: Grand Central Market; Lower Level Dining Concourse; Shuttle Passage; and Graybar Passage – 212-292-0160) is donating 50% of all proceeds from sale of their Pink & White cookie to Women at Risk during the month of October.
